Donate School Supplies to Classrooms in Need With Uber

Time to set down the sunscreen and pick up those pencils—school is back in session. While some students have already gathered supplies for their first day, many others still need basic items to make their year successful.

To help, the Kids In Need Foundation is partnering with Uber and Yoobi for the launch of UberSCHOOL. On Friday, August 19, request a free Uber to your location to collect school supply donations. All items collected in the Twin Cities will be delivered to the Twin Cities Kids In Need Resource Center in the Kids In Need Foundation National Network, and distributed to students in the area.

This week, coordinate your office, organization, or group to host a back-to-school drive and collect new or unopened school supplies.

For every UberSCHOOL pickup, Yoobi will double your impact by donating a Yoobi item to a classroom in need.

Each scheduled shopping visit is 45 minutes. Please be prompt as there will be teachers waiting for their session to begin.

How it works

Open your Uber app this Friday, Augest 19 between 11am-2pm
Select "School" from the bottom slider
Request a vehicle to pickup your donations

Don’t just go back to school, give back to school
